  • Position Overview

    We are seeking a Market Intelligence Specialist to drive Arlington Consulting Group’s (ACG) federal market and competitive intelligence efforts. This role combines deep expertise in market research, capture strategy, and client development with analytical rigor to produce insights that shape ACG’s and our clients’ growth strategy and support high-priority pursuits across civilian, defense, and health sectors. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in analyzing federal pipelines, conducting in-depth agency reviews, and equipping leadership with actionable intelligence to capitalize on strategic opportunities.

    Employment Structure

    • This position begins as a full-time contractor role with flexibility to scale as project needs grow.

    • Based on performance and business needs, the role may expand into a permanent leadership position within ACG’s Market Intelligence team.

    • The first three months serve as a mutual evaluation period before formalizing long-term employment.

    • This is a full-time remote position with occasional in-person team and client meetings.

    Key Responsibilities

    Market Intelligence & Strategy

    • Conduct in-depth market, budget, and agency research to identify federal priorities, funding trends, and growth opportunities.

    • Develop competitive intelligence deliverables, including black-hat sessions, competitor profiles, and win-theme assessments.

    • Support strategic capture by analyzing addressable markets, building client call plans, and identifying teaming partners.

    • Deliver actionable recommendations to ACG leadership through high-impact briefs and microsites summarizing market positioning.

    Capture & Proposal Support

    • Serve as deputy capture lead on priority pursuits, transitioning capture materials seamlessly to proposal teams.

    • Track opportunity pipelines, proposal submissions, and compliance requirements across federal and state/local sectors.

    • Develop standardized response outlines, past performance libraries, and qualification materials to accelerate proposals.

    • Coordinate client engagement at conferences and events, tracking interactions with senior government stakeholders.

    Client Development & Collaboration

    • Partner with ACG leadership to align market insights with growth strategy.

    • Facilitate workshops, solutioning sessions, and win-strategy refinement with capture and proposal teams.

    • Collaborate across ACG’s AI, strategy, and consulting practices to integrate intelligence into client solutions.

    • Build long-term trusted relationships with government stakeholders and teaming partners.

    Required Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, Economics, Business, or related field.

    • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in market/competitive intelligence, client development, or capture/proposal management (federal sector preferred).

    • Proven ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.

    Core Skills

    • Market & competitive intelligence research, pipeline analysis, and budget synthesis.

    • Capture and proposal management, including compliance and risk analysis.

    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with attention to detail.

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored to technical and executive audiences.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM/proposal tracking systems.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in federal consulting or professional services.

    • Knowledge of federal acquisition pathways, contract vehicles, and agency procurement practices.

    • Experience with event coordination, client engagement, or stakeholder management.

    • Certifications in proposal management (e.g., APMP) or market research.

    • Skilled in evaluating large datasets, budgets, and pipelines for decision-making.

    • Works effectively across diverse teams and with senior leaders.

    • Crafts clear and compelling insights for internal and external audiences.
